Mrs. Karla Onick, Principal

Hello!  I am beginning my 8th year as Principal of Bradley Elementary and I am excited about our new school year. I grew up in El Paso, graduated from Irvin HIgh School and went to UTEP for both undergraduate and graduate degrees.  I have lived in the Bradley neighborhood for 36 years.  In fact, my son attended Bradley the first year it opened.  It is very special that my students are also my neighbors! I have a total of 37 years experience in the field of education.  I spent ten years as a teacher and 27 years as an administrator.  I am married to my high school sweetheart and we have two children, three grandchildren and one great granddaughter!  I love children and I believe that schools should be a safe haven for them--a place where they can learn, explore, and grow without the fear of making a mistake.

We use the "No Excuses University" philosophy, believing that every student deserves the opportunity to be educated in a way that prepares them for college.  Our students begin to learn about college when they enter Pre-Kindergarten.  We do this because we believe that good work and attendance habits begin right away.  We also believe that students need to develop strong character, so our discipline plans are character-based.

You are your child's first and most important teacher. Welcome to Bradley. Please let us know how we can support you and your family to ensure success for your child!
