Welcome to 1B
Hello! My name is Adriana Saldivar. Our first grade class has had a great year so far! We are using technology and different strategies to actively learn how to read, write, and explore all subject areas. Our classroom provides a welcoming and supportive learning environment that nurtures creativity and encourages students to work and learn as a team, as well as independently.
I was born and raised in Northeast El Paso. I graduated from Silva Health Magnet High School and went on to receive my first degree in Microbiology from The University of Texas at El Paso in 2010. A few years later, I returned to UTEP for a second Bachelor of Science in Psychology. Shortly after, I enrolled in an alternative certification program to begin my teaching career as a first grade teacher. I am now certified to teach Early Childhood through Grade 6.
I love my job as a first grade teacher, and I love working with your children every day!
If you ever need to contact me, I respond promptly through the Class Dojo app. If you would like to speak on the phone or in person, my conference period is from 1:45pm - 2:30pm, Monday through Friday.
